Kantorei Youth Choir
Kantorei offers high-quality training to help your child grow, no matter their skill level.
This ensemble is for students ages 7 and up. Older, more experienced singers are the leaders and role models for all Kantorei singers. Their love of singing is expressed by their commitment to the choir and to each other.
This choir sings a wide range of music. In addition to sacred music of the masters (works selected on musical artistry and not religious persuasion), Kantorei performs an exciting array of secular selections including folk songs, spirituals, show tunes, and patriotic, pop, and jazz music. Since much of the music is sung in at least four vocal parts with varying levels of complexity and occasionally in a foreign language, certain skills are necessary for acceptance.
Mondays, 6:30-8:00 pm
All rehearsals are held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church 3300 Rural St, Rockford, IL.
